I’m boiling

A: Why did you open all the windows?
B: Because I’m boiling.

We use this expression when we want to say that we feel extremely hot. It does not literally mean that we are boiling, but that is exactly why it sounds natural and expressive in English. In everyday spoken English, you will hear it much more often than the more basic phrase I’m very hot.
