A: Who’s the leader of the IT team?
B: Oh no, I can’t remember. I’ve gone blank..
A: Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll remember in a minute.

A: You look exhausted.
B: Yes, I could do with a good night’s sleep.

A: What time does the film start? Are we ok?
B: Sure, slow down. We’ve got loads of time.

It’s getting late and we’ve done enough today. So let’s call it a day and go home, we’ll finish it tomorrow.

Stuart started the project, but it was his wife’s financial support which kept the ball rolling after his leaving the company.

A: When are we meeting up to go to the theatre? Is it 7.30?
B: Yes, as far as I know – but I’d check if I were you. Just in case.

These kids have too much time on their hands, and they get into trouble.

A: I wish my colleagues turn off their mobiles during meetings.
B: I couldn’t agree more. It gets on my nerves when people’s mobiles ring in meetings.

A: If you want to have a party at work, you’ll have to ask the boss for her permisson.
B: Of course. It goes without saying.
