When we’re talking about secrets, we often use the verb „tell“ – and here’s the catch: In English, you say „tell someone“, not „tell to someone“.
Czech learners often add “to” because in Czech it’s “řekni to někomu”, což vypadá jako „to someone“ – ale v angličtině to není potřeba.
A short conversation could go like this:
A: I’ll tell you something, but don’t tell anyone.
