When Czech learners want to say vysněná práce, they often translate it literally as dream work – but that is incorrect. In English, we always say dream job when we mean the job we would most like to have. The expression dream work, on the other hand, refers to something entirely different: the analysis or interpretation of dreams in psychology (for example, in Freud’s theory).
R: Working as a pilot is my dream job.
W: Working as a pilot is my dream work.
