The verb discuss causes a lot of confusion, and one small extra word can make your English sound unnatural.
Czech speakers often say discuss about something because it follows the Czech pattern diskutovat o něčem. In English, however, discuss does not need about. So if you say, We discussed about the problem, it sounds incorrect. Instead, you should say, We discussed the problem.
We do, however, use about with other expressions. For example, you can say, We talked about the problem, or We had a discussion about the problem. The key difference is simple: we discuss something, but we talk about something or have a discussion about something.
W: We discussed about the issue.
R: We discussed the issue.
